Thank you for taking a few moments to read this. I’ve hesitated to post this. I don’t intend to offend anyone, but understand I may. I will not respond to comments but I believe in free speech and will not deny anyone the right to respond. It’s hard to believe we’ve reached this point. It saddens me. Yet, I believe there is hope. Your Honor, there is no need for hesitation, or a continuance, with Republicans.  We are open minded, unlike Democrats who block people they cannot win a debate with.  I scored highly on a test of Open Mindedness.  I have switched parties too, and vote for Obama in 2008.
Yes, as an attorney you learned in Law School about Freedom of Speech, the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
We've reached this point?  Yes.  Record high stock market.  Tariff income up 300%.   Secure borders  Cutting down on fentanol deaths in our nation's young generation?
Trump created peace by stopping 7 wars so far (more than any man in history) when Biden said war will go on "as long as it takes" (for nuclear war with Russia).
Armenia-Azerbaijan  Cambodia-Thailand  Israel-Iran  Rwanda-Congo  India-Pakistan  Egypt-Ethiopia  Serbia-Kosovo   He is working on ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
I grew up an Iowa Republican. I worked to get Republicans elected. I hosted fundraisers in our home for Republican candidates. I gave money to Republican candidates. I voted for Republicans. I was appointed an Honorary Colonel in the Iowa Militia by a Republican Governor for my service to the State of Iowa, largely due to my Republican efforts. I considered running for public office someday as a Republican. I was part of the Republican team.

President Trump stopped the "wokeness" in the military, including drag shows, and transgender surgeries at tax-payer expense.  He made the US Military respected in the world again.
Speaking of running, men are finally getting out of women's sports. 
US Army Reserves Major Tulsi Gabbard visited Fairfield in 6/1/2018 and switched from the war mongering Democrats to the Republican Party.  She is now Director of National Intelligence.

Then, things started to change. The party moved farther and farther right. It became radicalized by people who had lost sight of truth, justice, equality and (ironically) doing what is “right”. It lost sight of our country’s history and the necessary, continuing struggle to “form a more perfect union”. Most important to me, it lost sight of the essence of Christianity—it more and more loudly claimed to be Christian, yet more and more ignored Christ’s core teachings and example of pulling together for good and loving our neighbors as ourselves. Right is better than wrong.
Truth: CNN lies (Russia hoax, Hunter laptop, Nick Sandmann, Ivermectin, Jussie Smollett, etc.), and has Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). Fox News is the best source.
Justice: Do you agree with Letitia James campaigning on going after Trump to be NY AG?
Equality: Are the targeted prosecutions and $450 billion fine for a misdemeanor "Equal Justice Under the Law?"
Many Christian counties in the USA and UK have been taken over by Muslims.
Still, I hung on for several years believing the Republican Party at least stood for fiscal conservatism. Eventually, I concluded that “trickle down” economics was a sham and the Republican Party was mostly, if not wholly, the cause of our ballooning national debt. So, many years ago I quietly left the Republican Party and became an Independent. The Big Beautiful Bill tax cuts are for all income levels.
I do agree with Elon Musk that after DOGE cut billions in waste that the budget limit should not have been increased.  Let's give Trump the chance to cut costs next year.
A Democrat House, Senate, and President would have over-spent much worse.
I am no longer willing to be quiet. Now, we have Trump 2. Our democracy is crumbling before our eyes, led by Republican egomaniacs who are drunk on money and power; who vomit on the rule of law; who choke on equality before the law; who belch blatant daily lies to mislead the people they are sworn to represent and serve; who spit on the legacy of our forefathers; who rage against the rights of the downtrodden, including the foreigner legitimately seeking asylum and/or an opportunity to realize the cherished American Dream. Speaking out is good.   Democrats crumbled democracy by pushing their own candidate Biden out of the race without a real vote.  They used electronic voting machines to rig the election.  Obviously Biden stole the 2020 election.  After Republicans saw the techniques they used, such as Ballot Box Stuffing and getting illegals voting, Biden/Harris could not win in 2024.  One person One vote has been finally tulsi restored.
Legitimate asylum seekers are .0001% of the flood of migrant moochers who want free stuff in exchange for their voting Democrat in sanctuary cities where they are allowed to vote.
Trump has not been convicted finally (by the Supreme Court) of any criminal charge.
As an attorney you know the appeals process.  Signing and assigning an expense as "Legal fees" is a misdemeanor, not a felony.  Letitia James' nonsense will not last.  She is being charged herself for mortgage fraud.
Trump is a criminal, a liar, and a draft-dodger, among many other traits unsuitable for the leader of the free world. I am ashamed he is our President. He leads the charge and the MAGA’s of the Republican Party blindly follow. GOP no longer stands for “Grand Old Party”, it stands for Gutted, Obsolete and Pathetic. Biden dodged the draft, and was a puppet -- unsuitable as leader of the free world.
President Trump joined New York Military Academy for 4 years, including Boot Camp like exercises, and was a top cadet. Military History classes helped him realize that Viet Nam was no real threat to the USA, and that the undeclared war only benefited the Military Industrial Complex. 
Jack Smith tried to arrest the President on 2 bogus charges. 
January 6, 2021 peaceful protesters were sent to harsh sentences in DC Jail even before a fair trial - by Democrats.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe and former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard expose how the previous CIA and FBI Directors conspired with Hillary Clinton to promote the "Russia Hoax" and hide Hunter Biden's laptop which exposed Joe's corruption.
Yet, are there good and thoughtful Republicans who have worked hard for their wealth and believe in the American Dream of democracy, freedom, fairness and equality under the rule of law? Of course. Are there good and thoughtful Republicans who reject the MAGA zealots? Yes. But, apparently, few Republicans (The Lincoln Project excepted) are willing to stand up and openly oppose Trump and the MAGA element. Thanks for acknowledging us good, hard working, wealthy, modest Republicans.  :)
We believe in democracy, freedom, fairness, and equality under the rule of law - but not equal outcomes.  Some people are goof offs.
The Lincoln Project is a Post Office Box pretending to be a real office of objective people. Democrats, funded by the likes of George Soros, misappropriate Republican President Lincoln's name for causes he would not approve of.
Please understand if you are one of those quiet Republicans who privately rejects Trump and MAGA extremism, but continues to vote Republican just because you’ve always been a Republican, you will destroy this country for you, your children and your children’s children. This is not your parents’ Republican Party. This is not Iowa Governor Bob Ray’s Republican Party. This is not Iowa U.S. Congressman Jim Leach’s Republican party. This is not President Ronald Reagan’s Republican Party. This is a Republican Party of the self-absorbed rich—insatiably addicted to power and money. This is a Republican Party of the few, who are hell-bent on gutting democracy and the rule of law to enrich themselves. This is not the party of Lincoln, the party who pulled together to end the human scourge of slavery and sacrificed their lives to preserve our union, our Constitution, and our principles of democracy.

After being an attorney in a private law practice in my home town for 28 years, I was honored to serve as an Iowa District Court Judge for nearly 14 years, appointed by a Republican governor, sworn to everyday uphold the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Iowa and to equally uphold the rights of the rich and the poor. My experience in the law allows me to understand the precious and fragile nature of our rights under the law. My interest in history allows me to understand how treacherous, power-hungry people can destroy those rights. With your law experience, certainly you can see the "law fare" that was perpetrated against candidate and President Trump.  Pam Bondi is doing a good job to expose the thwarting of equal application of the law under the Biden administration.  Biden's AutoPen pardons are invalid, but proof that he knew (if he was capable of knowing) that these people did something illegal.  He did not let our Court System determine the truth.  Biden acted above the law, and trampled upon our legal system.
Hopefully all the pardons done by his staff with the AutoPen will be overturned so each case can be decided in Court before a Judge and jury.  
As bleak as things seem, there is hope. 2026 is just around the corner. Vote in the upcoming 2026 mid-term election and encourage others to vote. Most importantly, in the sanctity and privacy of the voting booth, join me for the first time in my life in voting a Democrat Blue straight-ticket ballot to show Trump, his MAGA sycophants and the Republican Party that “We the People” are still in charge and that we want balanced, intelligent, thoughtful, fair, mature and expletive-free politics. Show them by your vote that we will not allow them to ruin, ransack and trample upon our lives, our rights, our faith, and our nation—a nation bought by the blood and sacrifice of those willing to give their lives for the high ideals that the current Republican Party now clearly rejects.
Be brave. Be strong. Resist. Persist. Save our country in ‘26.		 Republicans have undone the Gerry Mandering in Texas, and working on other states, to restore a fair election system.   Democrats have already lost seats and will be even more out of power in 2026.
Republicans are restoring election integrity and the sanctity and privacy of the voting booth - not a China-hacked Dominion Voting Machine.  A Georgia Election Board showed how voting machines can be misused by Democrats.
